Tampa partner Amanda Buffinton, who is a member of the firm’s Construction Practice Group, presented at the 2023 Florida Transportation Builders Association (FTBA) Construction Conference, which took place on February 7, 2023.
Amanda, who is Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar, presented on the panel titled “Contractual Rights and Claims – Practices to Ensure Success on Projects and Beyond,” alongside Chris Horton of Smith, Currie & Hancock LLP. They discussed common contract and subcontract language, strategies for claim recognition, avoidance and handling of the claims process. Tampa partner Tim Woodward was the moderator.
