Shutts & Bowen is pleased to announce that attorneys Jamie Wasserman, Martha Ferral and Kadeem Ricketts have been selected to represent the firm in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s 2021 programs.
Fort Lauderdale partner Jamie Wasserman will participate in the 2021 Fellows Program. Founded in 2011, the Fellows Program is designed to connect high-potential, mid-career attorneys from preeminent organizations for a year-long professional development series that focuses on leadership and relationship building. In 2021, the program will make a range of virtual training methods and networking opportunities available exclusively to Fellows, allowing them to learn from top leaders in the legal profession.
Miami associate Martha Ferral and West Palm Beach associate Kadeem Ricketts have been selected to participate in the 2021 Pathfinder Program. This Program is designed for diverse, high-potential, early-career attorneys at LCLD Member organizations. The goal of this program is to provide Pathfinders with practical tools for developing and leveraging internal professional networks through relationship-building skills; foundational leadership skills; and an understanding of career development strategies applicable to both in-house and law firm practice.
“We are excited for our new class of LCLD program participants,” said Aliette D. Rodz, an LCLD Fellows Alumni and Chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee and Focus on Women Group. “Programs like LCLD allow our diverse attorneys to grow both in the firm and throughout the community, providing opportunities for mentorship, collaboration and professional development.”
Also included in the Alumni Program are Meredith Freeman (2019 Fellow), Manuel Negron (2020 Fellow) and Hillary Thompson (2020 Pathfinder).
