Shutts & Bowen LLP Attorney Hillary J. Thompson has been selected by ATHENA Orlando Women’s Leadership to the roster of the ATHENA NextGen Class of 2019. Designed as a collaborative forum for participants to enhance their professional development skills through sessions focused on mentoring and leadership strategies, the ATHENA NextGen Series is tailored to enlighten of the next generation of women leaders.
Hillary was selected as one of fifty-five emerging female leaders in the Orlando area to participate in the eight-month program. All selected applicants for the 2019 series will enjoy dynamic programming led by prominent women leaders, based on each of the eight ATHENA Leadership Principles: Live Authentically, Learn Constantly, Advocate Fiercely, Act Courageously, Foster Collaboration, Build Relationships, Give Back, and Celebrate.
Founded in 2012, ATHENA Orlando Women’s Leadership, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) that offers three core programs in Central Florida, including the ATHENA Women’s Leadership Luncheon, ATHENA NextGen Thought Leadership Series and the ATHENA Leadership Award.

Hillary Thompson is an Associate in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group. Hillary represents developers and lenders in a broad range of business and real estate manners. The scope of her practice includes all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. During law school, Hillary was a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Heather Rodriguez for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.
