Manuel Negron & Hillary Thompson - LCLD 2020Shutts & Bowen is pleased to announce that attorneys Manuel Negron and Hillary J. Thompson have been selected for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 2020 class of Fellows and Pathfinders, respectively.

Miami partner Manuel Negron will be a member of the 2020 class of Fellows, participating in a landmark program created by LCLD to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. The Fellows Program, which has trained more than a 1,600 mid-career attorneys since 2011, is one of LCLD’s most important initiatives. It is designed to connect high-potential attorneys from preeminent organizations for a year-long professional development series that focuses on leadership and relationship building, providing participants extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership and leaders in the legal field. Shutts’ Fellows Alumni include Aliette D. Rodz, Chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee and Focus on Women group, and Meredith A. Freeman.

Orlando associate Hillary Thompson will represent the firm as a member of the 2020 class of Pathfinders. The Pathfinder Program has trained nearly 700 early-career attorneys since 2015, catering to junior lawyers in law firms and corporate legal departments who have demonstrated potential to become future leaders in the legal profession. This program is designed to connect high-potential attorneys from preeminent organizations for a six- to seven-month professional development series that focuses on foundational leadership skills, professional networks and relationship building skills, and career development strategies.

Manuel Negron is a Partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen, where he is a member of the Class Action and Mass Litigation Practice Group.
