Shutts & Bowen Partner Brendan Aloysius Barry Elected to New York Law School Alumni Association's Board of Directors

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL ­– June 26, 2019 – Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce that partner Brendan Aloysius Barry was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the New York Law School (NYLS) Alumni Association.

The NYLS Alumni Association, under the leadership of its Board of Directors, works in coordination with the law school to cultivate strong relationships with alumni through recognition of alumni achievements and contributions to the profession, by assisting with alumni fundraising efforts, and by providing educational and mentoring opportunities that benefit alumni and students alike.

“By accepting me into the class of 1994, NYLS provided me with an opportunity which I fully embraced and I have never forgotten,” said Brendan. “I am honored to be able to give back to a school and a community that has given me so much.”

NYLS Dean and President Anthony W. Crowell said Brendan is exactly the kind of individual the Alumni Association needs working on its behalf.  “Brendan is a shining example of what we hope all NYLS students will aspire to be: thoughtful, sophisticated, engaged, and successful,” he said. “We are excited to welcome him to the Alumni Association and look forward to him serving as an anchor of New York City’s sixth borough: South Florida.”
