Al LaSorte and Matthew Chait, partners in the West Palm Beach office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, have been named the Co-Chairmen of the 2011 Lawyers Have Heart 5K Run, which benefits the American Heart Association. The event is scheduled for October 1 on Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach. This year, Natalie Morales of NBC’s Today Show joins LaSorte and Chait as the Run’s Master of Ceremonies.
LaSorte and Chait have been active organizers and fundraisers for the Run since LaSorte initiated the event in 2009. The Run has grown each year, is open to the entire Palm Beach County community, and has already raised more than $125,000 to benefit the American Heart Association
Al LaSorte is Florida Bar Board Certified in both Civil Trial Law and Business Litigation. He counsels lenders, businesses, property owners and title insurers throughout the state on commercial disputes, real estate litigation, foreclosure and title insurance matters.
Matt Chait handles a wide variety of commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on real estate and creditors’ rights litigation, representing financial institutions, private equity funds and servicers.
