Dan Daley appeared on This Week in South Florida on Sunday, February 4. Dan, who is City Commissioner of Coral Springs, appeared alongside Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert to discuss how local governments are fighting to preserve constitutional home rule authority and stop preemption of local governments by the Florida Legislature.
Dan is President of the Broward League of Cities, while Mayor Gilbert is President of the Miami-Dade branch. Together, they are joining forces to ensure local cities and governments and local voters get to make local decisions.

Dan Daley is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Business Litigation, Land Use and Zoning, and Equine Law Practice Groups. Dan has worked on both transactional and litigation matters. Dan ran and was elected City Commissioner of his hometown in 2012 and was reelected unopposed in 2014, making him the youngest person ever elected to office in Coral Springs, Florida.
