John Meagher Named Managing Partner of Shutts & Bowen’s Miami Office

Meagher, John - MIAShutts & Bowen partner John E. Meagher has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s Miami office.  John, Chair of the firm’s Insurance Practice Group, assumed leadership this month. He will oversee the day-to-day management of the office, which includes approximately 120 attorneys and more than 120 staff members.

“Shutts & Bowen had another record year in 2018 and our Miami office was a major contributor to the firm’s success,” said Michael J. “Micky” Grindstaff, the firm-wide Managing Partner. “John is deeply familiar with the business and legal issues facing South Florida. His local knowledge, combined with his demonstrated leadership, strategic focus, and reputation for exceptional client service will greatly benefit the firm.”

A graduate of the University of South Florida and the Georgetown University Law Center, John joined Shutts & Bowen in 1985. His practice focuses on representing insurance companies, defending them in trial and appellate actions throughout the state and federal court systems.
