Increasingly, judges are reading briefs on tablets rather than on paper. This shift requires lawyers to rethink how they design and craft their court filings in order to maximize the impact of their arguments. The article describes the challenges this trend poses for the practicing lawyer and suggests measures that lawyers can take to improve their filings in this new digital environment.
