Law Students
Shutts & Bowen’s Summer Clerkship Program is designed to provide an intellectually challenging and professionally gratifying experience for law students. The program allows students to choose a practice area that interests them and delve into the different aspects of our legal services. Our summer associates are paired with a mentor within the firm to offer insights into the history and culture of Shutts and gain an accurate sense of what it is like to work at a nationally-recognized, top-ranked law firm.
Summer associates are given the chance to attend client meetings, depositions, court hearings and other proceedings within their various practice groups. Because we believe in the importance of networking and personal development, this program also includes opportunities to attend firm-sponsored social events and community improvement projects.
At the end of the 10-week program, we offer all our summer associates feedback through a formal evaluation. We are proud of our history of hiring entry level associates through this program.
