Alyssa Cory, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office, was recently a panelist speaker during the 74th Annual Florida Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate State Leadership Conference in Orlando on March 21, 2024.
Alyssa participated in a business presentation with her fellow panelists, discussing the impact the organization has had on their respective professional paths and taking questions from attending collegians. Alyssa was a state officer of Florida FBLA in high school and participated in the collegiate division (formerly “PBL”) at the University of Florida.
Florida FBLA is comprised of High School, Middle School and Collegiate sections, which make up the state organization of Future Business Leaders of America, an organization dedicated to helping students improve their leadership skills and achieve academic goals.

Alyssa L. Cory is a Partner in the Tampa office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Appellate Practice Group. Alyssa handles appeals and civil litigation support in a variety of cases in federal and state courts. Her practice covers complex commercial and business appeals, including appeals in all five Florida District Courts of Appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She assists clients with trial preservation, and developing and framing key legal arguments.
