Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce that Tallahassee Office Managing Partner Benjamin Gibson has been elected to the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) Board of Governors for a three-year term and was appointed General Counsel of the national organization.
Benjamin previously served on the Board as National Secretary for the past two years and served as the Florida Chapter Chair for the last four years. His election reinforces his standing as a leader in the intersection of law, government and politics.
“It’s an honor to serve on the RNLA Board of Governors,” said Ben. “The RNLA is a vital organization in advancing the principles of our political system, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success alongside such an accomplished group of leaders.”
Throughout his career, Ben has played a significant role in Florida’s legal and political landscape, including serving as counsel to the Florida House of Representatives, the Executive Office of the Governor, the Florida Constitution Revision Commission, and numerous state agencies. He also has served as Chief Legal Counsel to the Republican Party of Florida for the past four election cycles. Ben frequently advises political candidates, party committees, corporate entities and nonprofits on navigating the complex federal, state and local laws that govern their political activity. His legal practice also includes representing political and governmental entities in high-profile litigation and administrative proceedings at both the state and federal levels.
