Charla Burchett, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Sarasota office, has been named to the 2022 board of directors for the Charitable Gift Planners of Southwest Florida.
The Charitable Gift Planners of Southwest Florida, an organization dedicated to promoting philanthropy in the Sarasota-Manatee region through planned giving, has been providing planned giving educational programs and networking opportunities for development professionals, attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors and trust officers for nearly three decades. Charla joins the 2022 board of directors in their mission to increase the quality and quantity of charitable planned gifts by serving as a resource for the gift planning communities of Sarasota and Manatee counties.
An active member of community and civic organizations, Charla also serves as the Chair of The Pines of Sarasota Foundation, a board member for the Sarasota Tiger Bay Club, as well as an Advisory Task Force Member for Impact100 SRQ.
The Charitable Gift Planners of Southwest Florida is an affiliate of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, the leading national organization for gift planning professionals. The Southwest Florida chapter is a volunteer-led association dedicated to professionals whose work includes developing, marketing, and administering charitable planned gifts.
