On Wednesday, May 5, Shutts & Bowen’s Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy partners Lee Mackson and Michelle Hendler will present “COVID-19: Navigating Our Way Through a Pandemic.” The international webinar, presented by Mondaq, will explore the effects of COVID-19 on lenders, the CMBS industry, and other industries such as retail and hospitality.
Lee and Michelle will discuss the new laws, rules and regulations enacted as a result of the pandemic and their practical impact on commercial real estate. The presentation will also examine what the various industry players, including lenders, borrowers, landlords and tenants, can expect from their counterparts, as well as from the judicial system, as things return to “semi-normal".
Participants can expect to take away a better understanding of the new rules and regulations and how they impact various industries, as well as what can be expected as forbearances expire, payment obligations become due, and litigation over defaulted loans and tenancies ensues.
