Daniel Nordby Appointed to Florida Bar’s Appellate Court Rules Committee

Tallahassee partner and Chair of Shutts & Bowen’s Appellate Practice Group, Daniel Nordby, was recently appointed to The Florida Bar’s Appellate Court Rules Committee, a committee established to consider rule proposals and amendments to the Florida Rules of Appellate Procedure. The Appellate Court Rules Committee is composed of attorneys and judges with extensive experience and training in the area of appellate practice. For more information, click here. Daniel was appointed to the Committee for a term running through June 30, 2027.

Daniel currently serves on the Executive Council of the Florida Bar’s Appellate Practice Section and is double board certified by The Florida Bar in both Appellate Practice and State & Federal Government & Administrative Practice. He is the only attorney in Florida to hold concurrent board certifications as an expert in both of these practice areas.

Daniel Nordby is a partner in the Tallahassee office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is Chair of the firm’s Appellate Practice Group. His practice focuses on high-profile, high stakes matters of law and public policy, particularly in the areas of constitutional, appellate and administrative law. Daniel maintains an active appellate practice before Florida’s state and federal courts and often handles cases of first impression in the areas of constitutional law, administrative law, election law, and insurance law. Daniel has presented oral argument on multiple occasions before the Florida Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and Florida’s district courts of appeal.
