Derrick M. Valkenburg, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Orlando office, taught a continuing education course, titled “Florida Construction Lien Law,” on October 23, 2020 at the Rosen Plaza Hotel.
Derrick spoke to members of the Florida Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC) Association via education provider The Continuing Education Academy.
He discussed a survey of Florida lien law in his educational program to teach attendees the methods required to perfect their lien rights. Derrick presented to business owners, project managers and other construction industry professionals.
The Florida PHCC Association is a part of the three-tiered National Association of Plumbing & HVAC Contractors. The goals of the organization are to educate contractors and their employees, bring the best of the industry together and protect the integrity of the profession.
