Eduardo De la Peña Bernal, a partner in the International Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group, presided over the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA)’s 62nd Annual Congress and delivered remarks throughout the event focusing on the importance of global collaboration and engagement.
The Congress, held in Madrid, Spain from September 3-7, was the largest, most diverse, and most global event ever organized by AIJA, with close to 800 participants from nearly 70 jurisdictions. It also marked the successful conclusion of Eduardo’s term as President of AIJA, which focused on a vision of inclusivity, opportunity and empowerment of the international legal community on a global scale.
AIJA is a global association focused on the professional development and growth of lawyers and in-house counsel aged 45 and under. AIJA currently has thousands of members and supporters in 100+ different countries, including more than 60 collective members and Bar Associations. Each year, AIJA organizes events and initiatives around the world that attract 3,500+ participants from 120+ jurisdictions.
