Erik Hanson, an attorney in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Sarasota office, was recently announced as a member of the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance’s 2022 Board of Directors.

Erik will officially be welcomed as the 2022 Deputy Chair at the organization’s Annual Membership Luncheon on Friday, January 28, 2022. The event will introduce this year’s board of directors, thank outgoing board members and present the Chairman’s Award for 2021. A member of Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance (LWRBA) since 2014, Erik has served in various roles on the Board of Directors for the last five years.

The Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance is a business organization committed to connecting, educating and strengthening the business community in the Lakewood Ranch region. With over 100 events and educational programs annually, the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance provides opportunities throughout the year to connect with their membership of over 2,500 professionals.

Erik M. Hanson is a senior associate in the Sarasota office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Construction Law Practice Group. Erik focuses his practice on construction law, including the negotiation and drafting of construction contracts and construction dispute resolution. He has argued numerous appeals, including before the Second District Court of Appeal. His previous experience includes trial practice and dispute resolution in construction, commercial, real estate and intellectual property litigation, as well as trust and estate disputes. Erik earned his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, in 2012 from Stetson University College of Law, where he was honored with the E. Harris Drew Award for excellence in written and oral advocacy, as well as the William F. Blews Award for his exceptional volunteering efforts with Habitat for Humanity and VITA tax preparation services.
