Erik M. Hanson, an attorney in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Sarasota office, recently presented on the “Basics of Construction Contracts” to students of Florida Gulf Coast University’s Construction Management Program.
On September 18, 2020, Erik gave his virtual presentation to Florida Gulf Coast University Construction Management Program students in class BCN 1930 – Construction Seminar. During the presentation, he discussed an overview of construction contracts, including the advantages and disadvantages of the various pricing structures, documents and key provisions.
The Construction Management Program in the U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering at Florida Gulf Coast University public and private, commercial and residential construction with a focus on sustainable construction methods. By emphasizing the application of new technology, innovation and to industry proven tools and procedures, graduates of the program are well-equipped to solve problems and deliver successful construction projects.
