Erik Matheney Appointed President of the Hillsborough County Bar Foundation

Erik Matheney, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office, was recently appointed President of the Hillsborough County Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

Erik, who served as President-Elect of the HCBF last year, will continue to serve the organization as it supports and promotes projects and programs that encourage assistance to the poor, disabled, and disadvantaged in our community who need legal assistance and access to the legal system. Included among the HCBF’s funding activities is the Law and Liberty dinner, a cornerstone event for the Tampa Bay legal community awarding grants between $10,000-$20,000 annually to worthy non-profit organizations.

Established in 1996, the Hillsborough County Bar Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that serves as the charitable entity working in conjunction with the Hillsborough County Bar Association. To learn more, click here.
