Francis “Frank” Rodriguez Discusses Executive Committee Diversity with the Daily Business Review

In a recent Daily Business Review article, Chairman of Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Executive Committee, Francis E. "Frank" Rodriguez, discussed the firm’s diversity across all levels, including the Executive Committee.

According to the article, most of Florida’s largest law firms saw some boost to diverse attorney headcount numbers, but Shutts particularly outpaced other firms based on the diversity of its Executive Committee. Based on recent Executive Committee elections, Shutts’ Executive Committee last year saw an increase in diversity to 40%.

According to Frank, Shutts’s diversity has been organic and as a result of providing all associates with support so they have a chance to ascend in the ranks. Additionally, Frank noted the firm’s efforts to recruit from Florida’s increasingly diverse universities.

“In today’s day and age, we’re seeing so much diversity among students going to law schools,” Frank said. “I think it’s just part of being the community that we’re in, and you draw from that.”
