Miami partner Gary Cohen will be a moderator for the upcoming virtual FL Housing Coalition Annual Affordable Housing Conference on August 31-September 2.
Gary will moderate the panel titled “Navigating the Challenges at Year-15 with Difficult Partners in LIHTC Partnerships: Opa-locka Community Development Corporation Case Study.” The panel will discuss the Opa-locka Community Development Corporation landmark decision to preserve affordable, locally-owned housing for those participating in the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. Additionally, the panel will discuss the Year 15 aggregator red-flags, so that non-profit owners of tax credit properties can best protect themselves, their affordable housing developments, and the communities they serve.
