Jodi-Ann Tillman, an Intellectual Property attorney in the Fort Lauderdale office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, has been appointed to The Florida Bar’s Committee on Cybersecurity and Privacy Law.
The Committee facilitates lawyer awareness of cyber risks on a continuing basis; works jointly with the Technology Committee and other committees; develops firm- or lawyer-appropriate cybersecurity best practices; provides lawyers with continuously updated resources about cybersecurity law and regulations; and provides news and educational seminars. Because many bar members represent out-of-state and out-of-country clients, the committee also provides them with resources addressing other states’ cybersecurity privacy laws and the General Data Protection Regulation.
