Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce that Patrick J. Lannon, a partner in the firm’s Miami office, has been appointed as the 2021 President of the Greater Miami Tax Institute (GMTI).
An active member of the local trusts and estates community, Patrick previously served as Vice-Chair of GMTI’s Board of Directors. As President, he will support the organization’s mission of providing its members with sophisticated educational programs related to taxation as well as keeping them updated on the latest tax topics, increasing their expertise and knowledge base and refining their cutting-edge tax planning techniques.
Established in 1961, GMTI is a non-profit organization whose membership is comprised of professionals including attorneys, accountants, bankers, trust professionals, and insurance professionals. Its members and leadership are among some of the top tax professionals in the country.
