On January 4, Shutts & Bowen Miami partner Patrick Lannon served as the speaker on a webcast hosted by the Trusts & Estates Section of the Collier County Bar Association, titled “Asset Protection for the Rest of Us.”
During the webcast, Patrick discussed incorporating asset protection into estate planning for clients with no current creditor issues by focusing on easily accessible and inexpensive wealth preservation solutions. Patrick compared and contrasted this approach to the better-known perception of asset protection as a stand-alone specialty reserved for clients with serious creditor concerns.
Headquartered in Naples, FL, the Collier County Bar Association was formed to serve the issues and concerns of the lawyers and judges in the Collier County area. It has since expanded to address the concerns of the public and provides lawyer referral services and pro bono events open to everyone in the Collier County Area.
