Shutts & Bowen LLP Miami Private Client Services partner, Patrick Lannon, will be speaking at the Probate Law 2024 Seminar sponsored by The Florida Bar on November 15, 2024.

Patrick, who is Florida Bar Board Certified in Wills, Trusts and Estates, will present “Yours, Mine, or Ours? Recent Changes to Community Property Rights on Death” at the annual seminar.

Designed for both new and experienced practitioners, topics covered will include a wide range of estate planning and probate administration material, including detailed discussions regarding the new Principal and Income Act, navigating fee disputes in probate, determining homestead status of real property, addressing community property rights in probate administration, identifying tax implications of settlement agreement, marshaling and preserving assets of the estate, and a recent case law update. In addition to receiving 8 credit hours which count towards Board Certification in Wills, Trusts and Estates, attendees will also receive ethics credits.
