On November 2, Miami tax & international law partner Peter Lagonowicz spoke to students at the University of Miami about mentorship and Catholic values. Attendees were members of the Agrupación Católica Universitaria (ACU), a Marian Congregation whose spirituality is based on Jesuit formational principles and a strong concentration in Marian reflection. Their Three Pillars are: Ignatian Spirituality, Professionalism, and Apostolic Works.
Peter spoke to the group about the value of a great relationship with your mentor. His mentor was Raul Salas, a Shutts partner who passed away of cancer in 2019. Peter shared some of the wisdom he received from Raul with the students. Peter also presented on the Ignatian rules of discernment.
