Peter Rahaghi Speaks at the 2025 FIBA AML Conference

Shutts & Bowen LLP Miami partner and Co-Chair of the Financial Services Practice Group, Peter Rahaghi, recently spoke at the 2025 FIBA AML Conference, which was held during the week of March 24 at the Intercontinental Miami Hotel.

Peter moderated the panel titled "FinCEN NPRM to Strengthen and Modernize Financial Institutions’ Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) Programs - Understanding Its Impact,” and explored how the FinCEN NPRM can be used to enhance AML/CFT programs and discussed its potential impact on the financial industry, highlighting both challenges and opportunities for compliance and innovation in connection with the development of risk assessments, among other topics.

The FIBA AML Conference is the largest event of its kind in the country, bringing together banks and other financial institutions, as well as regulators for four days of open discussions and problem-solving in Miami, FL.
