Rene J. Gonzalez-LLorens, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Miami office, was recently appointed by The Florida Bar to serve on the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee “H”.

Each of the 20 judicial circuits in Florida has a Grievance Committee that serves a similar purpose to a grand jury when they review complaints that are submitted by bar counsel. The committee then decides whether there is probable cause to believe a lawyer violated the professional conduct rules imposed by the Supreme Court of Florida and if discipline against the lawyer appears to be justified.
