Ricky Polston, a partner in the Tallahassee office of Shutts & Bowen LLP and Chair of the firm’s Constitutional Law Section, recently participated in a panel for the Bay County Bar Association’s 2024 Constitution Day Dinner on September 30th in Panama City, Florida.
On the panel, the Honorable Ricky Polston (former Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court) was accompanied by the Honorable Michael J. Frank (Magistrate Judge of the Northern District of Florida), the Honorable Timothy D. Osterhaus (Chief Judge of the First District Court of Appeal) and the Honorable Joseph Lewis Jr. (Judge of the First District Court of Appeal). The panel was moderated by Fourteenth Circuit Chief Judge Christopher N. Patterson, and addressed various constitutional questions presented from the membership.

Ricky Polston is a partner in the Tallahassee office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is the Chair of the Constitutional Law Section and a member of the Appellate, Government Law, Insurance, and Litigation practice groups. He was a Florida Supreme Court Justice from 2008-2023, serving as Chief Justice from 2012 to 2014, and was a judge at the First District Court of Appeal from 2001-2008.
