Ryan Reinert, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office, recently presented at the 2025 Alexander L. Paskay Memorial Bankruptcy Seminar, speaking on a panel regarding bankruptcy court motion practice.
The 49th annual seminar, jointly presented by the Stetson University College of Law and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), was held February 27-28, 2025, at The Tampa Marriott Water Street hotel.
Ryan, who serves on the Advisory Board for the Alexander L. Paskay Memorial Bankruptcy Seminar, spoke on the panel titled, “Effective Motion Practice in Bankruptcy Court.” The panel provided practical insights into effective motion practice in bankruptcy court, focusing on strategies that enhance clarity, improve efficiency, and ensure that motions stand out for their quality and precision. Selections to the Advisory Board are made with input from judges of the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, including the Paskay Seminar Judicial Co-Chairs.
A memorial CLE program honoring the lifetime achievements of the late Bankruptcy Judge Alexander L. Paskay, the seminar features prominent regional and national speakers, including 10 regional bankruptcy judges, to discuss current commercial and consumer bankruptcy issues.
