Shutts & Bowen LLP announced today that it has enhanced its government law practice with the addition of Diana C. Mendez as a partner in its Miami office.
Mendez focuses her practice on administrative, procurement and transactional law. She advises clients across multiple industries during the government procurement process and represents clients in contract negotiation, dispute settlement and quasi-judicial hearings regarding code enforcement, zoning and bid protest matters.
“Diana’s experience in government contracts and bid protests fits perfectly into our existing practice,” said John Meagher, Managing Partner of the Shutts & Bowen Miami office. “We look forward to her expertise in growing this important area for the Miami office, and the firm in general.”
Mendez is Secretary of the Miami-Dade Florida Association for Women Lawyers, is a member of the Administrative Law Section and the City, County and Local Government Law Section of the Florida Bar and past member of the Miami-Dade County Commission for Women.
She earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Florida International University, her Master of International Affairs, International Economics from American University School of International Service, and her law degree, cum laude, from American University Washington College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and the District of Columbia and she is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
