Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has been awarded the 2025 John R. Hamilton Law Firm Award of Excellence by the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association.
The lifetime achievement award was presented in recognition of Shutts’ dedication to service in the community since 1995. Orlando partners Paul Scheck and Brett Renton, as well as attorney Samendio Mathieu, accepted the award on the firm's behalf. Paul previously served as president of the Orange County Bar Association. Brett currently serves as a member of the board of the Orange County Bar Association Foundation.
According to the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, Shutts & Bowen has exemplified dedication to pro bono work, reporting a combined 1,600 hours in service. The Shutts Orlando office is a member of the OCBA’s 100% club, with the firm covering the lieu of pro bono fees annually. According to the organization, despite Shutts paying the fee, “the additional pro bono work done by the firm reflects their unwavering commitment and excellence.”
