From October 24-27, 2024, members from around the world gathered in Miami for the International Lawyers Network (ILN) 2024 Americas Conference. Shutts & Bowen, which has been a member of the organization for more than 15 years, was the host firm for this year’s event.
Miami partners Roland Gallor and Ricardo Souto, the firm’s delegates to the ILN, hosted a Welcome Reception for attendees in the Miami office. During the conference, Rick participated on a panel titled “Navigating the Impact of the 2024 US Elections: Domestic and Global Perspectives,” where he discussed the possible changes in US tax law following next month’s elections, and the likely implications for international businesses and individuals.
Roland and Rick, along with Senior Associate Michael Pego, also participated on a client panel discussing the evolution of client relationships, delving into the growing relationship between the new generation of leaders at both the law firm and the client. Also in attendance during the conference was Aleksey Shtivelman, a partner in the firm’s International Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group.
The ILN is an association of high-quality mid-sized law firms that operates to create a global platform for the provision of legal services, particularly for clients with international needs. The Network provides clients with easily accessible legal services in 67 countries across six continents. To learn more, please click here.
