On February 25, Shutts & Bowen LLP hosted a Financial & International Business Association (FIBA) breakfast presentation at its Miami office focusing on the Securities Law Regulatory Outlook and Priorities for 2025.
The breakfast presentation featured Financial Services Practice Group partners Greta Trotman and Peter Rahaghi, who provided in-depth insights into key priorities set by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (FINRA) for the year. Attendees gained valuable knowledge on a range of topics, including developments with respect to artificial intelligence and crypto assets, financial crimes, fiduciary standards, conflicts of interest and Regulation Best Interest, vulnerable adults, third-party vendor risks, off-channel communications, recordkeeping obligations and Form CRS, among other topics.
The event was an opportunity for professionals in the financial services industry to stay informed about the upcoming regulatory changes that will shape the sector.
