Shutts & Bowen LLP announced the launch of the firm’s Land Use Practice Group, which will provide real estate developers and investors with representation in the fields of land use, zoning, and local government matters. Alexander I. Tachmes, a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, was appointed to lead the state-wide group.

Tachmes, who has been a partner at Shutts for more than 17 years, has represented many clients in significant land use and local government matters in South Florida. His roster of clients ranges from public traded companies to family real estate offices and individual entrepreneurs. Tachmes also has experience representing local governments and previously served as a first assistant city attorney for Miami Beach.
