Shutts Names 6 New PartnersShutts & Bowen LLP announced today that six attorneys at the firm have been elevated to Partner, effective January 1, 2021.

“This year, through challenges unprecedented in our 111-year history, we are proud to elevate and welcome our firm’s 2021 class of new Partners,” said Micky Grindstaff, Managing Partner of Shutts & Bowen LLP. “These new Partners have provided our clients with the highest level of service and earned the trust and respect of their colleagues.”

Six associates from various offices throughout the firm were elevated.

Miami

Paul William Jezierny is a member of the Corporate Practice Group, where he practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, commercial finance and corporate and securities law.  Paul represents global financial institutions, funds and operating companies in a variety of regulatory, transactional, enforcement and corporate matters.  He also represents public and private companies in corporate finance transactions, including equity and debt offerings, venture capital financing and commercial lending.  Paul’s corporate work frequently involves structuring real estate-related joint ventures and representing auto dealers in buy-sell transactions.  Paul received his J.D. and LL.M. in taxation from the University of Miami School of Law.  He obtained his bachelor’s degree in political science from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Victoria San Pedro Madani is a member of the Class Action & Mass Litigation Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, Victoria was an associate at a regional firm where her practice encompassed all aspects of civil litigation.  Victoria represented airlines in complex litigation, with representative experience in cases involving international transportation treaties.  She also has experience defending corporations in wrongful death, personal injury, and premises liability matters. She received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the Stetson University College of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Miami.

Sarasota

Ashley S. Hodson is a member of the Private Client Services Practice Group.  She focuses her practice on estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and estate and trust administration.  She designs her clients’ estate plans to meet their specific personal and financial goals with an emphasis on family wealth transfer planning.  She also has significant experience administering complex estates and trusts, including the preparation of federal estate tax returns. She received her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, her Master of Accountancy (M.Acc.) from the University of North Florida, and her B.S. in Accounting, cum laude, from Florida State University.

Tallahassee

Amber S. Nunnally is a member of the Appellate Practice Group. She is experienced in all aspects of appellate advocacy and procedure, and routinely prepares briefs on merits and jurisdiction, amicus briefs, and briefs for extraordinary writs in original proceedings. She also provides appellate support during trial and pretrial activities, assisting in development and presentation of legal arguments, record development, and identification and preservation of error. Amber is also an experienced litigation attorney, representing businesses and state agencies in state courts on matters of law and public policy, particularly in the areas of constitutional and administrative law. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the Florida State University College of Law and her B.S. in Political Science from Florida State University.

Tampa

Raciel Perez is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group. He represents public and private companies and individuals in a broad range of real estate matters. He focuses his real estate practice on the acquisition, sale and leasing of vacant and improved real estate, including multi-phased and mixed-use projects. He is experienced with procuring construction loans, restructuring existing debt, and preparing joint venture agreements and development agreements. Raciel received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.S., summa cum laude, in Finance from the University of South Florida.

West Palm Beach

Jennifer E. Reisler is a member of the Private Client Services Practice Group. Board Certified in Marital and Family Law, she focuses her practice on complex and litigated family matters related to paternity, divorce, child timesharing, prenuptial/postnuptial agreements, stepparent adoptions, spousal and child support, relocation, domestic violence, modifications, and other issues related to family law. During her law school career, Jennifer interned for the Honorable Robert Scola in the family law division. Jennifer also earned the coveted Honors Award in a Litigation Skills workshop. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and her B.S. in Equine Business Administration from the University of Louisville.
