February 26, 2024 – Shutts & Bowen LLP, a full-service business law firm, is pleased to announce that it has been selected for inclusion on U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 list of “Best Companies to Work For” among law firms. Shutts was one of only seven Florida-based Am Law 200 firms to be singled out for the accolade.
Shutts was included on the list in large part because it has met the high standards for maintaining universally desired factors that contribute to a good workplace. The six metrics considered for selection were: quality pay, good work/life balance, job and company stability, physical and psychological comfort, belongingness and esteem, and opportunities for professional development and advancement. All of these aspects have long been integral parts of the firm’s business culture.
“We are proud of our Shutts team and value the contributions of each team member,” said Jack McElroy, Shutts’ Firmwide Managing Partner. “We are honored to be recognized as one of the best law firms to work for.”
Likewise, Francis E. Rodriguez, Chair of Shutts’ Executive Committee, added that nurturing strong working relationships among attorneys and staff is something that has contributed to the success of the firm.
“We believe in maintaining collaborative and professional relationships among our attorneys and staff founded on mutual trust, respect, and consideration,” he said. “Our firm provides an ideal workplace for our employees to enhance their skill sets. We recognize that each of us contributes to the firm’s success in different ways.”
The purpose of the rankings list is to identify the country’s top law firms to help employees and job seekers make decisions about companies that may be a good fit for them. The selections were based on data collected by Leopard Solutions, a legal intelligence provider. Glassdoor reviews of the firms between 2020 and 2022 were also analyzed as part of the list’s methodology.
