Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce that the firm hosted an alumni reception for The Juilliard School on Thursday, January 11, at its Miami office.
The event, which coincided with National YoungArts Week, invited Juilliard alumni from throughout South Florida to reconnect with one another and share their passion for the fine arts. The evening included a classical music performance by Juilliard graduates Jessica Hong and Shomya Mitra, both of whom currently perform for the New World Symphony. Mary Rundle, Juilliard’s Associate Director of Major Gifts, coordinated the event and was on hand to greet all the guests.
"We were delighted to host this event for The Juilliard School, the world leader in performing arts education," said Alexander Tachmes, Chair of the firm’s Land Use Practice Group. "As a statewide law firm with a local heart, we are committed to fostering positive cross-cultural ties and supporting the local communities in which we live and work."
Tachmes is a member of the Juilliard Council, an invitation-only group of donors at Juilliard with a strong commitment to performing arts education. Members provide vital financial support, take an active part in the life of the school by attending performances and other special presentations, and assist in other ways with the goal of growing the Juilliard community.
