Law360 recently ranked Shutts & Bowen LLP among the most diverse law firms in the country among its tiered group, according to the publication’s 2021 Diversity Snapshot. Shutts was also recognized among the top five firms with the highest minority representation among equity partners.

Law360’s 2021 Diversity Snapshot was published on August 16 and ranks firms on their overall representation of minority attorneys at the associate and partner levels. With nearly 280 firms participating overall, Law360 ranked Shutts & Bowen No. 8 among firms with a headcount of 251 – 600 attorneys in the breakdown of diverse representation among law firms.

The firm was additionally recognized by Law360 for advancing pathways for succession at the partnership level. With minorities making up 18.4 percent of equity partnerships, Shutts & Bowen ranked No.4 among firms with 251 – 600 attorneys.

Shutts outpaced its peers in minority representation at the partner and non-partner levels, with the 2021 Diversity Snapshot revealing that just over 18 percent of attorneys and 10.8 percent of partners at surveyed firms were minorities.

Law360 based its analysis on demographic data collected from 276 firms based in the U.S. or with a substantial U.S. presence, representing more than 110,000 attorneys and more than 49,000 partners. The survey included 75% of the largest 200 firms in the Law360 400.
