Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to recognize attorneys from the firm’s Tampa office, who were recently commended by the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Prob Bono Committee for extraordinary service.
The Shutts Tampa office maintains a long-term commitment to pro bono legal services and leadership in recruiting other attorneys to help ensure that the indigent residents of Hillsborough County have access to legal recourse for their problems. They were honored for their outstanding contributions of pro bono legal services at the virtual “13th Annual Thirteenth Circuit Pro Bono Awards Ceremony,” on October 27, 2020. The Honorable Darren Farfente, Vice Chair of the Thirteenth Circuit Pro Bono Committee, presented in recognition of the Hillsborough County attorneys providing Pro Bono service in 2019. The Pro Bono Service Awards thank the lawyers who have selflessly provided pro bono legal services to some of the most vulnerable members of the community.

Created by the Florida Supreme Court, the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee oversees pro bono service to the poor in Hillsborough County. The committee is chaired by the Honorable Barbara Twine Thomas and is administered by the Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP) of Bay Area Legal Services.
