Susan K. Spurgeon, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office, recently spoke during a CLE event titled, “The 2024 Amendments to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure: The new Civil Rules are ready, are you?” for the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar.
At the CLE event held on August 9th, Susan spoke on Changes to Rules 1.280, which will now require initial disclosures and impose a duty to supplement discovery responses. The primary focus of “The 2024 Amendments to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure” CLE event was to discuss the most substantive overhaul in a generation to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure. The event aimed to help attorneys understand what these amendments will do and how they will impact their cases, including the cases attorneys currently have pending.
