Tarmo Jõeveer Presents to Political Affairs Class at UM

On November 4, 2024, Miami International Litigation and Arbitration attorney Tarmo Jõeveer spoke to students at the University of Miami’s Border Disputes in the 21st Century class, discussing the role of international institutions such as the United Nations’ International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration in resolving territorial disputes between sovereign nations. For this discussion, Tarmo drew on more than 15 years of experience from working on border disputes.

Tarmo also discussed international dispute mechanisms available to non-state parties, including investor-state and commercial arbitrations, to draw parallels and provide students with background in the International Dispute Resolution arena.

Tarmo Jõeveer is an Associate in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the International Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group. Tarmo focuses on complex litigation matters, international arbitration, and international business transactions.
