On May 20, West Palm Beach partner Timothy Monaghan will join Jean Acevedo of Acevedo Consulting Incorporated for a webinar titled “Be Prepared for Surprises in the No Surprises Act.” The webinar will begin at 12:00 p.m. EST.
The No Surprises Act (NSA) protects patients from large “surprise” hospital bills when they are treated by an out-of-network provider; however, the law has several surprises for all types of providers. During the webinar, Tim will provide a high-level review of the law and together with Jean, will discuss the practical implications for healthcare providers and facilities. They will be discussing how the law applies to uninsured and self-pay patients, what is a good faith estimate, when the act does not apply and what it means in practice.
