As a member of the Past President Advisory Board, Victoria will play a crucial role in guiding CABA's initiatives and supporting its mission to foster a more inclusive legal community. Her experience and insights, as a former Past President, will be invaluable in advancing CABA's goals and ensuring that all voices are heard and respected.

CABA is a non-profit voluntary bar association founded in 1974 by lawyers of Cuban descent. CABA’s members include judges, lawyers, and law students of all backgrounds interested in issues affecting the Cuban community, as well as broader legal and human rights issues impacting the community and Cuba.

About Victoria Méndez

Victoria Méndez is a Partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Land Use & Zoning Practice Group. Victoria is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in City, County & Local Government. Victoria is an experienced municipal lawyer with a wide range of capabilities in all phases of municipal operations, including general municipal law; land use and zoning; environmental law; election law; eminent domain; civil rights law; public finance; building and code enforcement; procurement law; utilities law; real estate; platting; and the litigation thereof. Victoria uses her vast experience advising local agencies on policy matters, statutes, rules and regulations, so that she can better advocate for and serve her clients’ strategic business interests.
