Earlier today, Laurence Wiener, attorney and co-founder of the firm Wiener Soto Caparros delivered a presentation on the latest developments in Argentina following the election of Argentinian president Mauricio Macri.
Macri was elected last December and has made sweeping changes to the nation's agenda, particularly affecting the business and economic climate of the country. The changes are intended to attract more foreign investment and improve relations with U.S., Europe and Latin America. Other changes include reforming the judicial system and doing away with currency controls in an effort to revive the country's economy.
These changes, said Wiener, can lead to more business and economic opportunities between the U.S. and Argentina. Wiener is an international attorney who advises companies on acquisitions, finance, funding and repatriation of investments, and risk management. He is an active member of the State Bar of California and of the American Bar Association's International Law Section.
