Shutts & Bowen Partner, Arthur J. Furia, attended the National Italian American Foundation Gala in Washington D. C. on Sunday, October 30. Mr. Furia serves on the Board of Directors of the NIAF and is a member of its Executive Committee and General Counsel. He is the General Counsel for the Republic of Italy in the Southeastern United States.

The National Italian American Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational foundation that promotes Italian American culture and heritage. NIAF serves as a resource on the Italian American community and has educational and youth programs including scholarships, grants, heritage travel, and mentoring.
Mr. Furia’s areas of legal practice include corporate and business law; domestic and international business planning; mergers and acquisitions; partnership formation and joint ventures; venture and mezzanine equity raising and distribution and licensing and corporate governance for not-for-profit organizations.
