Port Everglades Cruise Terminal #29Yesterday, Fort Lauderdale attorneys Brendan Aloysius Barry and Dan Daley celebrated the recent passage of the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) Act of 2016.

The WIIN Act authorizes the deepening and widening of Port Everglades navigational channels.

This clears the path for fully loaded post-Panamax and Afra-Max vessels as well as a larger safety margin where Harbor Pilots can operate. It will create 7,000 new jobs regionally and support 135,000 new jobs statewide. The project will be completed and monitored in an environmentally sensitive manner and is poised to become the model for future projects.
