Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce that Sarasota Partner Charla M. Burchett was recently appointed as a 2020 Board Member of the Tiger Bay Club of Sarasota.
In her role as a member of the governing board, Charla will work to promote the mission of the Sarasota Tiger Bay Club and help foster the understanding of public issues. She will work in collaboration with her fellow Board Members, the Board of Directors, Emeritus Members and Committee Members on innovative panel programming and the continued expansion of the Club’s membership. Charla is actively involved in several community and philanthropic organizations across Sarasota and Manatee counties, including the Pines of Sarasota Foundation and Impact 100 SRQ.
Established in 1984 by Marj Baldwin, the Sarasota Tiger Bay Club is a Florida non-partisan political club, providing a forum for current political issues and thoughtful discussion. The organization’s philosophy is that in-person, face-to-face exchanges with key policy makers is the ideal way to understand today’s complex issues.
