Shutts & Bowen partner, Daniel T. O’Keefe, has been reappointed by Governor Charlie Crist to a two-year term on the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council beginning March 18, 2010 and ending October 1, 2010. Mr. O’Keefe was originally appointed to the Council by Governor Jeb Bush in 2006.
The Regional Planning Council serves all the communities within the six county region of Brevard, Lake, Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola. Senate confirmation is pending.
Mr. O’Keefe practices in the area of real estate and land use law with a focus on multi-family developments, residential developments, representation of financial institutions and large scale multi-use projects.
Mr. O’Keefe graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Law and also earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a finance major from that institution.
